'Fairy Folk'

Wednesday 4th July - Paper Patchwork & Laminating - a one day workshop using the simple method of laminating layers of materials together to create a surface for patchwork & stitch. Working with recycled fabric & every day paper ephemera you will have the opportunity to create traditional patchwork techniques like cathedral windows, English patchwork, appliqué, stripping & Log cabin.
 

'Simplicity'

 Sunday 8th July  - Image Transfer & Surface Decoration - a one day workshop using the instant method of transferring images on to a range of fabric & paper surfaces.  Working with image transfer medium recreate your favorite imagery on a pre-prepared fabric or paper background & finish off with a stitch embellishment.

Wednesday 11th July - Fabric Manipulation & Surface Texture - a one day workshop experimenting with sewing machine techniques to manipulate fabric surfaces. Working with an assortment of materials you will have the opportunity to create a variety of striking textured samples using techniques such as slashing, pleating, folding & ragging techniques.  A sewing machine is a must for this workshop!

All work shops run from 10 - 4pm  .

Tea, coffee & cake supplied please bring a packed lunch.
